Corporate profile
Maastricht Instruments employs roughly 35 engineers (HBO, TU, PhD qualified) in various disciplines ranging from electronics and software to physics, mathematics and mechatronics. All of our engineers are directly or indirectly engaged in developments in the medical and life science sectors. MI also has a well-equipped prototyping workshop with a rapid prototyping machine and CNC equipment. Our company is rapidly expanding and we aim to continue this growth in the future. Maastricht Instruments belongs to the 100 fastest growing SME's in the Netherlands.

Unique
What makes Maastricht Instruments so unique is that it is fully situated - both literally and figuratively - within the life sciences and medical industry. The company is located at the Maastricht UMC+ campus and our engineers work for both researchers and individual companies within the life science and medical technology sectors.
MI works in close collaboration with IDEE (Instrument Development Engineering & Evaluation) at the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences. Together we form the technological innovation centre for the academic and business sectors. While IDEE works for clients in the hospital, MI secures most of its projects from clients within the industry (companies, universities, hospitals and research institutes). Maastricht Instruments is NEN-ISO 9001: 2008; NEN-ISO 13485: 2007; MDD93/42/ECC certified.
