IDEE-Q signal and data acquisition, analysis & visualisation software

IDEEQ is a Windows based data acquisition software application. The application can visualize and analyze analogue signals in real-time. It can be used together with measurement products of Maastricht Instruments, Keithley or National Instruments acquisition cards. Recordings can be stored to be viewed and re-analysed later-on. Several analyses modules are available, of which the results can be shown in trend graphs or tables. Furthermore signals and trends can be (partially) selected to be exported to clipboard or ASCII-based files.

Visualizing signals

All analogue signals, no matter the properties, can be visualized. For example, a Maastricht Programmable AcQuisition amplifier system (M-PAQ) can be selected as acquisition hardware. Through the software a selection of the channels to be sampled can be made as well as their properties like name, colour and unit. In case an M-PAQ amplifier system is connected, the gain, sample rate and filter settings can be adapted for each channel.

The signals can be viewed in real-time in one or more graphs as shown beneath. The horizontal and vertical scaling of signals in the graphs can be changed easily during real-time display as well as during re-analysis afterwards. When the recording is finished the signals can easily be manipulated by use of scrollbars. A cursor gives accurate readings of amplitude and timing of signals. Part of the signals can be selected for statistic calculations and regression analysis or to export them to clipboard or ASCII-based files.

Analysis modules

Several analysis modules for physiology purposes can be integrated, like QRS detection and analysis of blood flow and blood pressure signals. The signal on which the module should be performed is selected in the analysis options form. For each module a number of parameters can be edited. Markers which indicate an event in a beat can be selected to be shown in the signal.

Script editor

By means of a script editor it is possible to define personal calculations which can be executed on the outputs of the modules in real time. The script editor can be extended to embed algorithms for application specific signal analysis.

Output modules

The output of the analysis modules and the calculations can be viewed in trend graphs or numerical tables. It is also possible to monitor these results as a value in real time and to perform a range check on them.
